Situated in the city of Coventry, England, CU Coventry is a higher education institution that has been operating since 2012. It began life under the name Coventry University College before rebranding as CU Coventry in 2017. It operates as a subsidiary of Coventry University, and sits within a wider network called CU, which also includes CU London and CU Scarborough – all three campuses forming part of the Coventry University Group.
A Different Approach to Higher Education
CU Coventry is positioned as a “no frills” alternative to traditional university study, with an aim to make higher education more accessible. Students who complete a degree receive their qualification from Coventry University, which the UK government recognises as the awarding body. The institution also runs a range of short courses under the Connect programme, designed to help people take their first steps towards university-level study, and it regularly hosts community events at its campus.
Courses Available
Among its offerings are Access to Higher Education courses, which are structured for students who may not hold traditional academic qualifications. These cover areas including Business Studies, Engineering, Health and Human Sciences, Social Sciences, Law and Practice, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.
