Mount Nod is a sub-district sitting between Lower Eastern Green and the A45 Coventry to Birmingham dual-carriageway, specifically the area east of Alderminster Road. It forms part of the wider Eastern Green suburb in the far west of Coventry, a residential area that was once a village in Warwickshire. To the south lies Tile Hill North, while Allesley, Allesley Green, and Whoberley sit to the north and east. The western boundary of Mount Nod borders the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull, with the village of Berkswell and the hamlet of Pickford Green close by.
The Brook and Green Space
A stream called Alles Brook, known locally simply as “The Brook”, runs west to east through the middle of the district. Along parts of its course, the brook passes through a narrow strip of green land lined with shrubbery and trees. It is a tributary of the River Sherbourne. This modest green corridor provides a quiet break in an otherwise predominantly residential area.
Getting Around
Public transport in Mount Nod is provided by National Express Coventry route 14, which connects the area to Whoberley, Spon End, and Coventry city centre. The nearby A45 gives direct road access toward Birmingham to the west and the city centre to the east, making Mount Nod reasonably well connected despite its position on Coventry’s outer edge.
Nearby Landmark
Just to the west, on the border of Coventry in Upper Eastern Green, the Church of St Andrew was established in 1875. Part of the Church of England, it overlooks farmland and views across toward Solihull. Adjacent to the church grounds is St Andrew’s Church of England Infants’ School, and to the west of the church sits Home Farm.
